Terms and Conditions
30hands Cloud (the “Service”) provided by 30hands Learning, Inc. (“30hands”) with permission of your local school, local school district, teacher, or other responsible education authority (the “Subscriber”) is made available to you (the “User”) subject to the following Terms and Conditions in the 30hands Service Agreement (the “Agreement”). By using and accessing this Service located at 30hands.com or 30hands.net (and formerly ipresentonline.com), you are agreeing to be bound by, and to comply with, these Terms and Conditions and any other terms and conditions or terms of service posted on any individual page of this Service.
30hands is a cloud-based collaborative learning e-classroom site for education. The platform combines the structure of learning management systems with the flexibility of social media applications. 30hands is designed to keep the student focused on learning by bringing all the relevant learning materials and tools into the e-classroom, instead of launching the student all over the Internet. The main site includes courses, groups, a profile and a calendar that are personalized for each student. Courses include pages that contain learning materials customized by the teacher or curated from the web by the teacher, presentations created by the teacher or other educators (such as Khan Academy) for the purpose of student learning, presentations created by students in courses for the purpose of teaching iterative creativity, a timeline for easy access to learning materials and discussions, test/quizzes, discussion boards, blogs, and an online gradebook. In order to promote better student engagement, 30hands includes social media functionality that encourages conversation and sharing within the e-classroom. It is important to note that 30hands does not incorporate external social media applications, such as Facebook or Twitter, where privacy issues may arise, but rather draws on similar concepts to create a social experience for the students.
