Creating Your First Project

Ready to make your first video presentation? This tutorial walks you through the entire process, from opening the app to recording your narration. It's easier than you think!

Step 1: Open the App and Start a New Project

Head over to app.30hands.com and log in to your account. Once you're on the Home screen, you'll see any existing projects along with the option to create a new one.

Tap the New Project button to get started. Give your project a name — something descriptive so you can find it later — and you're off to the races!

Step 2: Add Your Slides

Now it's time to add the visual content for your presentation. You can import slides from a Google Slides presentation or upload a PDF file. Each page or slide becomes a slide in your 30hands project.

Don't worry if things aren't perfect yet — you can always rearrange or add more slides later.

Step 3: Navigate Through Your Slides

Once your slides are loaded, you'll see them displayed in a carousel view. You can swipe through the main view to browse your slides, or use the thumbnail strip at the bottom to quickly jump to any slide.

Take a moment to review your slides and make sure they're in the right order before you start recording.

Step 4: Record Your Narration

This is where the magic happens! At the bottom of the screen, you'll see the recording controls.

  1. Tap the record button (the red microphone icon) to start recording your voice.
  2. Swipe through your slides as you speak — your narration is automatically synced to each slide.
  3. Pause anytime if you need a moment to collect your thoughts.
  4. Tap stop when you're done with a section to create a clip.

You can create as many clips as you need. Each clip captures your voice along with the slides you navigated through while recording. Don't worry about getting it perfect in one take — that's what multiple clips are for!

Step 5: Review and Move On

After recording, you can play back your clips to make sure everything sounds good. When you're happy with your recording, head over to the Clips section to review, reorder, or re-record any clips.

Once everything looks great, you're ready to move on to exporting and sharing your presentation!
